LD-920 suitable for H2/N2 Gas Detection
LD-920 Nitrogen / Hydrogen Trace Gas
This instrument will detect Nitrogen/ Hydrogen trace gas leaks less than 5 parts per million [ppm] or equivalent in R134a would be 2.0 grams per year leak rate.
The LD-920 detects the Hydrogen component of the Tracer Gas & cannot be used with straight Nitrogen.
The tracer gas mixture consists of a non toxic, non flamable, environmentally friendly mixture of 5% Hydrogen and 95% Nitrogen. Trace Gas was developed to remove the need to add poluting refrigerants in the system when pressurising systems for leak detection. For this reason it can be vented to atmosphere at completion.
To use Trace Gas, charge it into your new or decanted system at a pressure of approx 500 Kpa [75 Psi]. As Hydrogen is lighter than air, always sniff for samples above your suspected leak area, welds or fittings. Maximum distance away from sampling area is 9.5mm at a rate no faster than 75mm per second. Refer to the Operators Manual for futher useage information.
